Introduction

Reticulocytes are transitional cells between late-stage erythroblasts and fully mature red blood cells. Because basophilic RNA remains in their cytoplasm, supravital staining with Reticulocyte Staining Solution reveals light-blue to dark-blue reticular structures under microscopic examination.

Reticulocyte Staining Solution is mainly used for supravital staining of reticulocytes. It produces a bright, clear background and is not affected by prolonged staining. On the contrary, a longer staining time results in a brighter background, making it an excellent choice for reticulocyte staining.
