Introduction

Pseudorabies virus (PRV), also known as Aujeszky's disease virus, is an important herpesvirus pathogen affecting the swine industry. The glycoprotein B (gB) gene in its genome encodes a key viral envelope protein and is highly conserved among different PRV strains. Targeting the conserved region of the gB gene helps reduce the risk of false-negative results caused by viral variation, making it suitable for broad PRV screening, routine surveillance, and eradication programs.

This kit uses real-time fluorescent PCR technology for the rapid and sensitive detection of PRV nucleic acid in porcine tissue samples, including tonsils, lymph nodes, and spleen, as well as liquid samples such as blood and vaccine preparations. It is suitable for early screening, auxiliary diagnosis, epidemiological investigation, and eradication and control of pseudorabies in swine herds. The core reaction components are supplied in lyophilized form and include nucleic acid amplification enzymes, reaction buffer, specific primers, and probes in a pre-mixed format. The kit is easy to use, offers good stability, and is well suited for routine laboratory testing and high-throughput sample screening.
