Porcine Reproductive & Respiratory Syndrome Virus Antibody Detection Kit

This kit uses enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) technology to detect antibodies against Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome Virus (PRRSV) in swine serum samples. When combined with pathogen molecular diagnostic solutions, it can provide reliable support for early warning, infection monitoring, vaccination efficacy evaluation, and comprehensive PRRS control strategies.
Description Package Information Inquiry

Porcine reproductive and respiratory syndrome (PRRS) is a highly contagious, economically devastating disease. Reproductive problems, such as premature births, late-term abortions and increased stillbirths, lead to increased piglet mortality and reduced growth; respiratory disease sickens pigs and makes them vulnerable to secondary infection.

Infected pigs may be asymptomatic or present with general symptoms that are indistinguishable from those of swine influenza, pseudorabies (Aujeszky's disease), classical swine fever, parvovirus, encephalomyocarditis, chlamydiosis and mycoplasmosis. Left undetected, these animals will quickly spread PRRS throughout a herd via contaminated body fluids.

For highly transmissible diseases such as Porcine Reproductive and Respiratory Syndrome (PRRS), timely identification of infected animals and prompt implementation of isolation, grouping, and appropriate control measures are essential to reducing the risk of transmission within the herd. Serological testing provides important support for evaluating herd immunity and monitoring infection risks.
